King James Bible: Makes God sound like, well...God!

I've always favored the poetry and grandeur of the King James Bible over the newer translations.  I like this New York Times article by Charles McGrath on why the King James version has endured for so many centuries.

Television is not the opiate of the masses. It is the God of the masses. Like the idols of old, it sets in a hallowed place in the center of the house, and every day the whole household will sit reverently before it recieving its revelations.

Anyone who disturbs this worship, will be hushed, or expelled, except during commercial breaks, when all are permitted to speak, or visit the refrigerator, or pee.
