This Newsweek "Daily Beast" article, Why the Campaign to Stop America's Obesity Crisis Keeps Failing tells it like it is - that we are being fed the wrong information about why our nation is over-weight.  In my opinion, the scientific community gets stuck on proving long-held theories and hold to them until they become articles of faith in the new establishment religion.  Evidence flies in the face of the old calories theory, but politics, money, and pride keep the authorities from rocking the boat.
