The Bonus Army

Here's some history you never heard about in school. The Bonus Army.
Okay, so I went to school in Canada. But I did study US history, and I never heard of the "Bonus Army" or the fact that they were attacked by General MacArthur - in Washington, DC in 1932. MacArthur was booed by bystanders during the attack.  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bonus_Army

    That is interesting. Do you suppose that something of this scale could be organized today?

    There have been some goodly sized "Tea Parties" in Washington lately. But the reigning party will be imposing new taxes in the New Year, protests notwithstanding.
